As we sing, we experience the joy that comes from appreciating the many things God has done for us. The songs we sing speak to the unearned gifts that God has offered and poured down…the most important of which is a close relationship with Himself. We sing because He has bathed our lives in His grace, freeing us forever from the mistakes we make, giving good things that we don’t deserve and promising His unending presence. Jesus is the hope that we can solidly stand on, whatever comes. That’s peace.

Some ask, “Why is there only one way?” The amazing thing is that there IS a way. God reached down, through His son (John 3:16, Romans 5:8) – what a gift! This God knows us by name in a universe that is so vast! He counts the stars (Isaiah 40: 26 - 31) and knows the grains of sand on the shores. He not only created us, but He knows us intimately - every detail of our lives (Psalm 139: 1- 18). His grace to us is a gift because there is nothing we have ever done or could do to deserve or earn it (Ephesians 2:8 - 9). All He asks of us is that we confess our sin (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, 1st John 1:9), and receive the gift by inviting Him into our hearts and lives (John 1:12, Revelation 3:20). He will take that decision and turn it into the most meaningful life we could ask for (John 10:10).

Everything that God ever needed to do He’s already done. So will you hold out your hands and take the gift? One day, we will all be introduced to Jesus - Are you ready?.
